Kinja'd!!!

Told my son to grab a book because we’re going somewhere and it’ll be an hour round trip. This is what he grabbed.

Why three books? Well one is for a school reading club, and he’s only supposed to read 2 chapters before Monday. Another he only has a couple chapters before he finishes, and the third is the next in that series.

Can’t risk running out of reading material.

No, but if anyone else chimes in I may look into it for myself.

My son is 11 and mainly into fantasy and mystery books.

He’s not that advanced yet, but I do make him read my Haynes manual when I work on my truck.

I have a tablet for when I travel or go to an appointment somewhere that I may need to wait awhile. At home I still prefer physical books.

I’ve also set him up for ebooks through the library on an IPod Touch he has. He’ll probably use that more this summer when school book club ends.

I think he read that before starting the wings of fire series. I have two brothers in law that are librarians; so when he finishes a series he likes I hit them up for recommendations for what should be next.

I’m trying to find a good steampunk series for him. I’m still a fan of those style of books myself.

Was it by chance a female pilot? I found a couple books by a woman named Elizabeth Weinn that might match that description.
